"It is a journey through time designed by imagination and knowledge. It is a story of fashion which is not expected to start or end. It is a neverending process of introspection and research... And every time it confirms that everything once invented and borrowed from the past has been updated and adapted in today's fashion world. It makes this whole process so fascinating." -- Edīte Parute

About The Content Of The Website
I created this site in March 2017, because I really like the time travelling and exploring more or less well-known stories from the past times. It is my pleasure to share my discoveries and tell you these stories. While I am a professional fashion historian, building up this webpage is more like a hobby which allows me to learn a lot of new things during the story building process. And do you know what's most important here? This site was created for educational purposes or purely for entertainment. And just for such purposes it should be used.
The main content of this website is the compendium of fashion stories & mini essays that combine my special interest in the greatest secrets of historical fashion and costume legends. Since I have always liked to write stories and to find out the historical origins and development of the components of the costume, I have created content that shows the interaction between literary aspects and the work of fashion detective. Stories that are written in the Costume History & Fashion Legends [Essays in English] section are not yet categorized. I plan to do this in 2018.
This page is still in the process of continuous improvement. In 2018, it is expected to create 90% of the content of the page in English language. Part of the content created in Latvian language during 2017, is intended to be translated into English by adapting it for readers in the whole world. Thus, Fashionologia Historiana intends to reach a wider international audience. Such a decision has been made by analyzing the current traffic and taking into account the expectations of readers worldwide.
I really hope you will continue to enjoy reading & exploring the stories of fashion history!
Since FashionologiaHistoriana website contains several sections of various fashion blogs, here is the index of content for anyone who wants to find a topic of interest. Please note that new articles are being added at least once a week and are subjects of serious research. Sometimes it takes a little bit longer to make everything done and ready to enjoy. :)

Message to Ad-Block users:
Dear visitors, Almost nothing in this world is free, but there are still things that are original, interesting, useful for many of us and they are created by people who give them to the world for free. They create it by investing their knowledge and effort so that you can use it - to learn, to find out what's new ... The ads shown on this site help me to create a new content, and they are just as useful to learn about new opportunities, goods and services. This site uses the most intelligent and polite way of displaying ads and it NEVER spams you with them! If you like the content that you can read on this page (for free), please be so kind and disable your Ad-block or just whitelist this site. By doing so, you will prove that this content is of interest to you. If not, then keep in mind that ad-blocking prevents me from continuing to produce the content that I do provide free of charge. Therefore a creation of a new content will be slower and more difficult to implement, due to your Ad-block. Thank you for understanding!
